Every evening we take our hedgehog in a blanket onto our lap when we are watching TV. He loves the warmth of our legs and usually continues to sleep half an hour more. After he wakes up we give him some mealworms which is his favourite snack.

Apart from mealworms that we give as a treat we give our hedgehog cat food. We grind the food to prevent him from choking, which nearly happened one time...

Our hedgehog loves his sand baths. We keep one near his house. Please note, this is not his toilet, we keep that father away from his house and that one contains wood pellets. Do not use for his toilet the cat sand, it is too absorbent and can get stuck in the genitals.
